Strawberry Fair 2013: Saturday 1st June

On Saturday 1st June 2013 CHaOS will be running a family science roadshow event at Strawberry Fair, which is held on Midsummer Common (about 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of Cambridge). We're looking for volunteers to help with our fun, hands-on experiments on the day.

Read below to find out more (or if you already know you want to sign up, just click here.)

If you haven't volunteered with CHaOS before here's a quick summary of how these events work:
  • you sign up for the day
  • we'll allocate you one or two messy/noisy/exciting science experiments to demonstrate in advance (which you can read about on our website here)
  • we'll meet you at Midsummer Common.
  • you'll get to talk to children and their families (and probably some adults too), and explain the science behind your experiment
  • we'll all pack up the kit at the end of the day, after having had the chance to make science fun!
  • also, sandwiches will be provided!

The event is likely to be open to the public from 12-5pm, but we'd like volunteers to be there from 11.30am to around 5.30pm. (It's probably possible for you to do part of the day, but please make this clear on the form when you sign up)
There's lots more information about CHaOS events on the rest of our demonstrator website , but please do email us if you have any questions! And last but not least to sign up click here.
